The characteristic techniques for processing Chinese medicine in different regions constitute an essential part of the academic heritage of Chinese medicine processing.To enhance the understanding of the integrity and historical continuity of traditional processing techniques，this study systematically reviews and summarizes the unique processing theories，techniques，auxiliary materials，tools，and medicinal varieties in regions such as Beijing，Jiangxi，Sichuan，Fuzhou，Xinjiang，Qinghai，and Gansu.Furthermore，it analyzes the challenges encountered in the inheritance and development of Chinese medicine processing and proposes improvement measures to promote the preservation and advancement of regional processing techniques and methods.
