Meridian-guided scraping therapy is a traditional external therapy in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) that integrates the classical scraping technique with meridian and collateral theory.It is widely used in disease treatment and health preservation.The TCM system theory is guided by systems science.It is grounded in classical TCM thought and integrates the principles of systems science to propose theories and methods for regulating the complexity of the human body.This paper explores the syndrome differentiation significance of “Sha manifestations”,the therapeutic mechanisms of meridian-guided scraping therapy,and its preventive applications from the perspectives of TCM system theory,specifically,the meta-holistic principle,functional principle,and autonomy principle.Additionally,this paper examines the differentiation and treatment connotation of meridian-guided scraping therapy within the framework of systems science,aiming to facilitate dialogue between modern scientific theory and traditional medicine,and to further investigate the modernization and development directions of meridian-based scraping therapy
