Alzheimer's disease(AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive cognitive impairment and neuropsychiatric symptoms. The aggregation of β-amyloid(Aβ) and abnormal phosphorylation of Tau protein are key mechanisms involved in AD pathogenesis. In recent years, impaired synaptic plasticity has been recognized as a major pathological feature of AD and a principal contributor to cognitive dysfunction.Currently approved anti-AD drugs can only alleviate some cognitive symptoms and fail to effectively slow disease progression.Studies have shown that traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) can mitigate synaptic ultrastructural damage, regulate synaptic transmission efficiency, modulate ligand-receptor interactions, and enhance the expression of synapse-associated proteins, thereby improving learning and memory deficits in AD models. However, comprehensive systematic reviews on this topic remain limited
