Wenjing Decoction originates from the Synopsis of Golden Chamber written by ZHANG Ji in the Eastern Han Dynasty.It is a classic prescription for menstrual disorders,infertility,or other gynecological diseases caused by deficiency and coldness of the Chong and Ren meridians and blood stasis.Clinically,it is often used to treat primary dysmenorrhea,infertility,menstrual disorders due to kidney deficiency and blood stasis,endometriosis,premature ovarian failure,and other diseases.It has pharmacological effects,including anti-inflammation,analgesia,oxidative stress improvement,immune regulation,and hormone regulation.Present research on Jingui Wenjing Decoction mainly focuses on the clinical efficacy evaluation on the combination of this classic prescription with other treatment methods,while there are relatively few analyses and discussions on the pharmacological effects of the whole prescription and its specific molecular mechanisms.
