To observe the clinical curative effect of treatment of chronic renal failure with method of tonifying kidney and activating blood circulation and descending counterflow and expelling toxin.Methods: 904 cases (treatment group) were treated by Shenshuai Paidu San (Shenshuai Paidu Powder),452 cases (control group) were treated by conventional therapy.The course of treatment lasted for one year and curative effect was analyzed after one year’s follow up visit.Results: The total effective rate was 92.58% in treatment group and that was 51.54% in control group,there was a significant difference between the two groups (P＜001).Conclusion: The method of tonifying kidney and activating blood circulation and descending counterflow and expelling toxin may has positive effect on the treatment of chronic renal failure.
