Abstract:Changes in ANP and AngⅡ of rabbit model of heart failure were observed after the intervention of Cardiotonic Granules,a compound Chinese medicine preparation,and the preparation’s effect on neuroendocrine activity was investigated.Methods:Rabbit model of heart failure was established by abdominal aorta coarctation,and intragastrically administered with Digoxin or Cardiotonic Granule respectively. On day 10,blood taken from carotid were detected to study activity of ANP and AngⅡ.Results:in heart failure model,the activity of ANP and AngⅡ rose significantly and the release disproportionately increased. The intervention of Cardiotonic Granules rectified the imbalance by bringing down levels of ANP and AngⅡremarkably.Conclusion:Cardiotonic Granules can rectify imbalanced release of neuroendocrine hormones,and inhibit the hyperactivity,therefore,prevent aggregation of heart failure.
