| 老年病中医临床证候、临床方药和临床治疗研究中存在着若干问题，主要原因是对老年病的病证特点和中医药解决老年病的优势认识不足。老年病的主要病证特点包括多病并存、多证相兼和虚实夹杂、缠绵难愈，结合老年病的病证特点，立足于中医药防治老年病的主要优势进行老年病防治研究是解决当前老年病研究中现存问题的主要途径。 |

| Clinical study on pattern differentiation， formulas， herbs and treatment for senile diseases are faced with various obstacles due to the lack of a sufficient understanding about the diseases’ characteristics， including coexistence of multiple ailments or patterns， mixture of excess and deficiency that is chronic and lingering， and superior solutions provided with Chinese medical treatment. Therefore， the fundamental prevention or treatment for senile diseases derives from a clinical characteristics-based full play of those advantages of Chinese medicine. |
