| 中医的现代化研究和中医理论的更深层次的发展离不开中医证候的研究，而当今对中医证候的研究多注重于某一证型或某一层次的研究，缺乏从整体上或宏观与微观相结合对证候的系统性研究，系统生物学的引入为中医证候学的研究提供了契机，并提供了科学的技术和方法。 |

| Modernization of Chinese medicine and deepening of Chinese medicine theory are inseparable from development of TCM syndromes research. Present-day research on TCM syndromes often focused on one specific pattern at one research level, lacking systematic macro (overall)-micro combined methods. Systems biology provides new opportunity for development of TCM syndromes research with scientific techniques and methods. |
