Yin fire doctrine, has long been controversial since it was first proposed by Li Dongyuan. Strictly following the original theory of Li, the author investigated yin fire’s academic source, mechanism, dynamic rules, and clinical application. Yin fire doctrine studies the disease cause that is characterized by internal damage of spleen and stomach, fever due to insufficient qi. Yin fire doctrine enriches knowledge of clinical medicine on both theoretical and clinical respects.
