To investigate correlation between life events and physical health of university undergraduates. Methods: Healthy university undergraduates completed physical health questionnaires and teenagers life events scales respectively at the four lunar solar time points, i.e. Dong Zhi, Chun Fen, Xia Zhi, Qiu Fen. Results: 1) The highest score was seen on Dong Zhi, the lowest on Qiu Fen, there’s a gender difference at Xia Zhi; 2) Significant differences were shown between four time points in terms of feeling cold, sweating, expedited breathing, cough, gastrointestinal discomfort, constipation, easy wakeup, lack of hungry feeling, feeling like to eat, in general these symptoms were more frequent on Dong Zhi; 3) Severity of the abovementioned nine symptoms varied, the severest on Dongzhi; 4) Subjects experienced more life events during Dong Zhi, therefore most stressful than other times, sequential order is Dong Zhi, Chun Fen, Xia Zhi, Qiu Fen; 5) Time points played a significant role in life event factors like interpersonal relationship, study stress, health adaptability; 6) Life events was significantly correlated to physical health; 7) During Dong Zhi health adaptability and interpersonal relationship had more impact on physical health of undergraduates than other events, during Chun Fen, the critical event was study stress and lost; During Xia Zhi, it’s health adaptability; During Qiu Fen, it’s punishment and health adaptability. Conclusion: Life events is correlated to physical health of undergraduates. |
