Abstract:To study moisture, total ash content, acid insoluble ash, water-soluble extract and alcohol extract content of flos jasmini. Methods: Contents were determined according to the 2010 edition of "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" (a) Appendix IX H water detection (drying), Appendix IX K ash detection, Appendix XA extract assay. Results: The average moisture content of 9 commercially available batches of flos jasmini was 5.34%; the average total ash content was 6.12%; the average acid insoluble ash content was 0.31%; the average content of water-soluble extract was 36.04%; the average extract content in 75% ethanol was 34.58%. Conclusion: The study results could provide evidence for further establishment and improvement of quality standards of flos jasmini.
