Abstract:To observe clinical effect of integrated Chinese and Western medicine in treating acute lupus nephritis.Methods:Retrospective comparative analysis was conducted on two different groups. Group B used western medicine treatment including anti-infection, lowering blood pressure or blood dialysis. Apart from receiving the same treatment as group B, patients in group A received additional Chinese medicine treatment of Huoxue Huayu Decoction. The changes of amount of urinary protein, red blood cells and plasma proteins in urine as well as diastolic blood pressure in the two groups were compared.Results:There were significant differences on amount of urinary protein, red blood cells and plasma proteins in urine as well as diastolic blood pressure before and after treatment in both groups (P<0.05). There were better results on the above indexes in group A; the total effective rate was higher in group A (P<0.05).Conclusion:There is significant therapeutic effect of integrated Chinese and Western medicine in treating acute lupus nephritis, and it is worth generalizing.
