Abstract:To observe the effect of integration of traditional Chinese and western medicine in reducing relapse of uveitis. Methods:Three hundred and twenty-nine patients with uveitis were randomly divided into two groups. One hundred and sixty-seven patients in the treatment group were treated with integration traditional Chinese and western medicine, while the control group applied western medicine treatment. Results:After six months of observation, the overall therapeutic effect in treatment group was obviously better than that of control group; there was better improvement of the overall vision in the treatment group; the overall relapse rate in the treatment group was obviously lower than that of the control group. Conclusion: Integration of traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of uveitis could improve the vision of patients, increase recovery rate and reduce the relapse rate.
