Abstract:To evaluate the quality of Flos Sophorae through determining the content of rutin which is the main active ingredient of Flos Sophorae from different growing areas. Methods: HPLC analysis was made on a Welch XB-C18(5 μm,4.6 mm×250 mm) with isocratic elution 1% acetic acid-methanol(61:39) as the mobile phase was at a flow-rate of 1.2 mL∕min. The detection wavelength was set at 257 nm, and the column temperature was 30 ℃. Results: The linear equation was Y=12243X-80.436(r=0.9999), and the average recovery was 99.15%, RSD=1.6%. The content of Rutin in Flos Sophorae from different growing areas were 13.88% to 35.74%.Conclusion: There is variation of the rutin content in Flos sophorae from different growing areas, and the quality of samples from Guangxi Guilin were higher than those from other places.
