Abstract:To observe the clinical effects of PPH & LigaSureTM hemorrhoidectomy for severe circumferential mixed hemorrhoids. Methods:A total of 62 severe circumferential mixed hemorroids patients who were operated PPH with incomplete hemorrhoid retraction were randomly divided in control group (31 patients) and treat group (31 patients). Apply LigaSureTM hemorrhoidectomy to the treat group, and traditional Milligan Morgan to the control group. Curative effects, blood loss during operation, operation duration, postoperative pain scores, postoperative edema of anal, wound healing time and postoperative anal straitness were observed. Results: There was significant difference in blood loss during operation, operation duration, postoperative pain scoring between the treat group and control group(P<0.05), the former was superior to the latter, but no significant difference of curative effects, postoperative edema of anal, wound healing time or postoperative anal straitness have been detected(P>0.05). Conclusion: For severe circumferential mixed hemorrhoids patients that are operated with PPH with incomplete hemorrhoid retraction, LigaSureTM hemorrhoidectomy can raise clinical curative effects with obvious merits including less blood loss during operation, shorter operation duration and rather subtle pains. Therefore, it is considered as convenient operation with safety, efficacy and less pains and is worthy of clinic application.
