To explore effect of Qingfeichengqi granules on bowel repletion induced ALI/ARD. Methods： A random, double blinded and multi-center control study was conducted with strict recruitment criteria. Patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, respectively given Qingfeichengqi granules and placebo. The indicators including blood routine examination, biochemical test, routine urine test, stool test, L/M ratio, blood gas analysis were observed, and prognosis index such as mortality, hospitalization time and expenses were recorded. Results： The baselines of patients before treatment in terms of age, sex distribution, and APACHE-II score were not significantly different between the two groups. After the treatment, the oxygen index of patients in treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group. The APACHE-II score, prognosis index such as mortality, hospitalization time and expenses were much lower in the treatment group. Conclusion： Qingfeichegnqi granules has satisfactory therapeutic effect in treating bowel repletion induced ALI/ARDS, which not only plays an instructive part for future clinical practice, but also provides evidence to support the theory of “exterior-interior relation of lung and large intestine”.
