To study effect of Shenfu injection on hemorrheology in patients with acute corpulmonale.Methods:One hundred and forty two patients with acute phase of corpulmonale were randomly divided into treatment group (n=78) and control group (n=64). Patients in the control group were given conventional western medicine treatment, and the treatment group applied Shenfu injection apart from conventional western medicine treatment. The changes of cardiac function and hemorrheology index were observed before and after treatment.Results:Compared with the states before treatment, the whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, fibrinogen content of patients in both groups after treatment were significantly lower, and left ventricular ejection fraction and cardiac output were significantly increased (P<0.05 orP<0.01); after treatment, left ventricular ejection fraction, and stroke output of the patients in the treatment group were significantly higher than that of control group, whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05); total effective rate of treatment group was 88.5%, which was significantly better than that of control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Shenfu injection combined with conventional western medicine therapy can obviously improve cardiac function and the mechanism may be related to blood viscosity.
