Building traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) animal model plays an important role in researching classic TCM formula. In this article， we introduced our experiences in building animal model for the research of classic TCM formula， ie. chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD) model， Ovalbumin sensitized bronchial asthma mice model， rectal semi ligation rat model， gastric ulcer rat model and electrostatic dysrhythmia rat model. The modeling methods， experiences and research of classic TCM formula were discussed.
