To access the curative effect of fire-needle combined with acupotomy to treat supraspinatus tendinitis. Methods: Sixty two cases were randomly divided into 4 groups. Acupoints selected were tender point around greater tuberosity, and tender point around supraspinous fossa. Patients were divided into fire-needle group, acupotomy group, fire-needle combined with acupotomy group and recieved fire-needle therapy and acupotomy therapy. Patients in control group were taken Loxoprofen Sodium Tablets. The treatment lasted 2 weeks, and the follow up visits were acquired 2 weeks later. Results: All of the 4 therapies can relive shoulder pain and upgrade C-M scores (P<0.05). After treatment, scores of fire-needle combined with acupotomy group (VAS=11.56±13.51,C-M=82.88±15.13) were significantly better than those of other groups(P<0.01).Conclusion: The curative effect of fire-needle combined with acupotomy is remarkable.
