To provide standards for further study and development on microcos paniculata.Methods:Literatures published at home and abroad on the chemical constituents， quality analysis and pharmacological effects of M. paniculata were analyzed and reviewed. Results:M. paniculata contains multiple types of components， and most researches focused on flavonoids， which had multiple bioactive substance， especially in regulating blood-lipid， but the researches on other mechanism were very few.Conclusion:Further studies on M. paniculata would contribute to developing new drugs and making use of the resource.
