Infantile cough is a common and frequently occurring disease,therefore timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment is one of the basic skills of a TCM doctor.Methods: When accompanying Doctor Zhang at clinic visits,the author summarized many prescriptions for infantile cough prescribed by doctor Zhang,brought forth the clinical thinking process for treating infantile cough.Conclusion: The clinical thinking process of infantile cough mainly involves: 1) four examinations to collect manifestation; 2) establishment of diagnosis and treatment methods; 3) determination of prescription.Through "disease" examination and “syndrome” differentiation,the ultimate cure is found.
