Abstract:To study the effect of abdominal vibration therapy on blood glucose and the GLP-1 of T2DM rats, and to explore the mechanism of abdominal vibration therapy on Type II Diabetes. Methods:Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group, model group, and abdominal vibration group. T2MD rat model was induced by high amounts of sugar and fat chow combined with single injection of STZ. Abdominal vibration therapy was performed once daily for 10 days, then 2 days of rest followed by a second treatment period of 10 days. Blood glucose, OGTT and GLP-1 were measured. Results: 1)After the treatment, compared with the model group, FBG dropped significantly (P<0.05) and the OGTT of the abdominal vibration group rose significantly (P<0.05). 2)After the treatment, GLP-1 0-30min after glucose gavage in the model group and abdominal vibration group dropped dramatically (P<0.05) compared to the normal control group. There was no significant difference between the amounts of serum GLP-1 among three groups at 0min and 30min (P<0.05). Conclusion:1)Abdominal vibration therapy can alleviate high blood glucose and rise the OGTT of T2DM rats. 2)The results of this research could not prove that abdominal vibration therapy improves blood glucose via influencing GLP-1, further research is needed.
