| 多系统老年疾病是人体进入老年期以后，各脏器组织功能衰退或发生病变，以血液、肝胆、呼吸、消化、泌尿、心血管、内分泌、神经、肌肉骨骼等多系统疾病同时并存的一种病理状态。中医学“辨证论治”和“整体观念”两大特点针对多系统疾病的诊治具有特色优势，在探究老年多系统疾病发生、发展规律，挖掘和发展中医在慢性病控制、养生保健方面的理论及治法方面具有重要意义。文章初步探讨引入数学及多元统计分析方法研究老年多系统疾病中医证候分类特征的可行性，以期为证候研究提供思路。 |

| Multiple system disease is a pathological condition of old age when the functions of multiple systems, such as blood, liver, respiratory, digestive, urinary, endocrine, cardiovascular neurological, musculoskeletal are declined. Employing its unique methods——“Pattern Differentiation” to diagnose diseases and “Holism” to treat, Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) has great significance in tracking the occurrence and development of disease, developing the therapeutic methods and principles in treating chronic diseases and improving health care. This article initially explored the possibility of categorizing TCM patterns of elderly patients with multiple system diseases by multivariate statistical analysis methods in order to provide instructions for clinical treatment. |
