Influenza associated encephalopathy (IAE) is one of the major cause of death in influenza infection. Due to inadequate cases and limited research, there is still no systematical studies about IAE. This paper gave a brief introduction of the concept, the epidemiological characteristics, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, pathogenesis, treatment, prognosis and prevention to provide the reference for clinical references.
