Colorectal cancer is one of the common malignant tumor diseases in digestive system with the increasing of morbidity and mortality in China.Currently，the surgery is still a unique treatment for the colorectal cancer.The prognosis of colorectal cancer is mainly associated with the disease stage.However，many patients are not diagnosed until in advance stage，and the treatment is not always satisfactory in those patients.Chinese medicine has a unique advantage in preventing recurrence and metastasis of the cancer and keeping patients’ life quality.But it differs among patients.And its mechanism and targets should be explored in further depth.In recent years，researches have shown that Chinese medicine treatment played an important role in the tumor growth and metastasis，making it a heated research topic.This paper reviewed the effect of Chinese medicine via autophagy in treating the cancer so as to provide evidence for clinical treatment of the cancer.
