Abstract:To observe the effect of moxibustion on CD4+T cells of thymus in subacute aging rats by recording the changes of IL-2 and related receptor protein levels. Methods:Use D-galactose induced subacute aging rat model. Twenty-four male SD rats were randomly divided into normal group, model group and moxibustion group. In moxibustion group, use mild moxibustion on Shenshu Point(BL23) bilateral for 40 days, 5 minutes each day each time. To separate CD4+T cells by MACS method, and access the expression of IL-2, IL-2Rα, NF-κB and I-κB in CD4+T cell by Western Blot. Results:Western Blot assay shows that comparing to the control group, the expression of IL-2, IL-2Rα, NF-κB and I-κB in CD4+T cell of model group significantly decreased (P<0.05). However, in the moxibustion group, those increased with significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion:In subacute aging rats, moxibustion on BL23 can improve the expression of IL-2, IL-2Rα, NF-κB and I-κB in thymic CD4+T cell.
