Osteoporosis (OP) can be defined as a degenerative bone disease characterized by low bone mass and the microarchitectural deterioration, with a consequent increase in the fragility of bone and susceptibility to fracture. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a disease with memory loss and cognitive impairment. Despite their different signs and symptoms, these two diseases share many common risk factors, pathogenesis and signaling pathways.
