To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of combination of traditional Chinese manipulation and oral administration of glucosamine sulfate capsules on knee osteoarthritis.Methods:A total of 101 Patients with knee osteoarthritis who went to Department of Orthopedics,Guanghua Hospital of Combination of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine during December 2014 to May 2016 were selected.All patients were randomly divided into 2 groups,the observation group in which patients were treated with combination of traditional Chinese manipulation and oral administration of glucosamine sulfate capsules,and the control group in which patients were only treated with the oral administration of glucosamine sulfate capsules.Lysholm knee function score,HSS knee function score and WOMAC score of the 2 groups before and after treatment were compared.Results:The gender,age,course of disease,body mass index,Lysholm score,HSS knee function score and WOMAC score of the 2 groups showed no significant differences before treatment (P>0.05).After treatment,Lysholm knee function score,HSS knee function score and WOMAC score in observation group were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05),especially in a week after treatment (P<0.02).Treatment effective rate of the observation group (96.79%) was higher than the control group (82.31%).Conclusion:Combination of traditional Chinese manipulation and oral administration of glucosamine sulfate capsules is a better method of treatment for knee osteoarthritis,combining with the advantage of quicker and more lasting effects and more safety.
