To comprehensively understand the development of “Treating both Brain and Heart” theory through literature.Methods:The China Knowledge Network (CNKI),PubMed database were applied as literture sources to search the literature from 2001-2018 about “Treating both Brain and Heart”.The Bicomb2 tool was used to conduct statistical analysis on the age of document,the periodicals,the author and scientific research institutions.The visual tools such as Ucinet6 and NetDraw2.084 were used to study the co-existing network characteristics of the keywords in literature.Results:The quality and quantity of “Treating both Brain and Heart” literature has been rising steadily.The research hotspot is the clinical efficacy and safety of the large-scale Chinese herbal medicines “Danhong Injection” and “Naoxintong Capsule” developed based on the theory of treating both brain and heart.In treating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,the significant results have been achieved in these aspects including sexuality,molecular mechanism and material basis.Conclusion:The theory of “Treating both Brain and Heart” is more and more widely used in clinical practice,and the theory of “Treating both Brain and Heart” is more systematic and perfect.
