To explore the application value of self-made Tongdu Jianyao Decoction in patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis after percutaneous total spinal endoscopy.Methods:A total of 91 patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis admited in the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from February 2016 to August 2018 were selected as research objects，and they were randomly divided into control group(n=45)and observation group(n=46).The control group was treated with percutaneous total spine endoscopic surgery，combined with conventional western medicine after the operation.The observation group was treated with percutaneous total spinal endoscopic surgery with self-made Tongdu Jianyao Decoction after the operation.Changes of symptom scores before the treatment and after 1 month of the treatment，changes of lumbar dysfunction index(ODI)scores before the treatment，after 2 weeks of the treatment and after 1 month of the treatment，the effect of lumbar functional recovery，and incidences of postoperative complications and adverse drug reactions were compared.Results:After the treatment，the symptom scores of lower limb numbness，lumbar pain，walking disorder and sensory disorder in the 2 groups were lower than those before the treatment(P<005)，and the symptom scores in the observation group after the treatment were lower than those in the control group(P<005).There were significant differences in the ODI scores between the groups，at different time and within interaction(P<005)，and the ODI scores in the 2 groups after 2 weeks were all lower than those before the treatment(P<005).After 1 month，the ODI scores were lower than those before the treatment and after 2 weeks of the treatment(P<005).Either 2 weeks or 1 month after the treatment，the ODI scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<005).The difference in the effect distribution of lumbar function between the 2 groups was statistically significant(P<005).The good rate of lumbar function recovery in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<005).There was no significant difference in the incidences of complications and adverse drug reactions between the observation group and the control group(P>005).Conclusion:The treatment of degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis with self-made Tongdu Jianyao Decoction can significantly relieve symptoms after the percutaneous total spinal endoscopy，improving lumbar spinal function，which has high safety.
