Abstract:To observe the effects of Tongfu Xiefei and Huatan method combined with azithromycin sequential treatment on serum levels of IFN-γ, IL-1β and PCT in patients with mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. Methods:According to random number table method, a total of 128 patients in Fangshan Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine with mycoplasma pneumoniae infection were selected and divided into an observation group and a control group, wit 64 cases in each group.Patients in control group received azithromycin sequential anti-infective therapy on the basis of routine antipyretic, antitussive and anti-inflammatory treatment. The observation group was treated with Tongfu Xiefei Huatan Decoction based on the control group. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks. The curative effects of the 2 groups before and after treatment, which includes the scores of TCM symptoms and signs, time of main symptoms disappearance and hospitalization, clinical inflammatory factors, and the occurrence of adverse reactions during the treatment, were compared. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.19%, which is significantly higher than that of 78.13% in the control group (P<0.05).The scores of TCM symptoms and signs in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).The time of fever relieve, phlegm dissipating, cough disappearance, lung rale disappearance and hospitalization in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).The levels of serum inflammatory factors IFN-γ, IL-1β and PCT in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than the other group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Tongfu Xiefei and Huayu method is effective in treating mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. It could improve the clinical symptoms effectively, shorten the disease course, and reduce inflammation reaction.Combined with azithromycin, it could enhance the effect, and have less adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
