Badu Shengji Powder is one of the commonly used prescriptions for removing toxin,eliminating putrid，dispelling aging and producing flesh.In recent years，it has been widely used in traditional external therapy of TCM of various chronic wounds such as diabetic foot，pressure sore，and traumatic ulcer etc.，and has achieved remarkable effects.In this paper，the pathogenesis of chronic wounds and the progress of research on traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine were summarized.The effects of Badu Shengji Powder on various kinds of chronic wound healing was summarized.In addition，this paper discussed the safety of Badu Shengji Powder to some degree，and its own view on the clinical application and improvement of Badu Shengji Powder was put forward.
