Abstract:To analyze the effects of self-management on pain relief in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.Methods:By searching the 5 databases of PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,the literature from January 1,1980 to July 31,2018,after been screened the literature according to the inclusion criteria,a randomized controlled trial of self-management on pain relief studies in RA patients was collected and the required data were extracted for Meta-analysis which using RevMan 5.3software.Results:A total of 8 literature were included.The Cochrane Collaboration's tool for assessing risk of bias was used to evaluate the quality of the literature.Among them 6 of the studies were Grade A(low-biased)and 2 studies were Grade B(moderately biased).Meta-analyzes showed Visual Analogue Scale(VAS,SMD=-0.32,P=0.50),Pain Self-Efficacy(SMD=0.10,P=0.65),quality of life(QoL,SMD=-0.72,P=0.38),Health Assessment Questionnaire(HAQ,MD=-0.12,P=0.31),DAS-28(MD=-0.28,P=0.42).Conclusion:Self-management did not have statistical significance for pain relief difference in RA patients.Its clinical and family application's value and significance still needs further confirmation.
