To investigate the effects of Chaihu Guizhi Decoction on pain and serum levels of calcitonin(PCT),interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-8(IL-8)in patients with mesenteric lymphadenitis.Methods:From July 2018 to November 2019,a total of 90 children with mesenteric lymphadenitis(spleen and stomach dampness-heat syndrome)admitted to Hebei Cangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine were selected and randomly divided into a study group(n＝50)and a control group(n＝40)according to the random number table.The control group was treated with cefaclor suspension,and the observation group was treated with Chaihu Guizhi Decoction on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy of the 2 groups was compared.Results:The total effective rate(90.00%)of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(77.50)(P<0.05).Compared with those before treatment,scores of TCM syndromes,serum PCT,IL-6 and IL-8 levels in the 2 groups were all decreased,and the study group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with that in the pre-treatment group,the transverse diameter of mesenteric lymph nodes in the 2 groups were shortened after treatment,and the study group was significantly shorter than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Chaihu Guizhi Decoction can effectively treat children with mesenteric lymphagitis,improve the TCM syndrome score,speed up the time for symptom disappearance,relieve pain,and shorten the size of transverse diameter of abdominal mesenteric lymph nodes in child patients,with significant curative effects.
