Prolapse of lumbar intervertebral disc is a frequently-occurring and common disease in clinic.This paper summarizes the diagnosis and treatment process of acupuncture for this disease from the aspects of dialectical thinking, acupuncture methods, prescription selection of acupoints, manipulation etc, providing ideas and basis for future acupuncture treatment of this disease.
