To study the clinical effects on the treatment of traumatic synovitis of knee joint using warm acupuncture combined with Xiaozhong Lishui Formula. Methods:An total of 90 patients with traumatic synovitis of knee joint, who were treated in Haikou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital for April 2018 to October 2019, according to the random number table method, were divided into 3 groups:a fumigation group, a warm acupuncture group and a combined group. The fumigation group was given the Xiaozhong Lishui Formula, the warm acupuncture group was given warm acupuncture on 4 points of knee, and the combined group was given the both therapies. The clinical indexes of each group were observed and compared in 2 groups. Results:The total effective rates were 66.67 %, 73.33 % and 93.33 %, in the fumigation, warm acupuncture and combined groups, respectively, with statistically significant difference among the 3 groups(P<0.05). After treatment, the WHOQOL-BREF scores of the three groups of patients were significantly higher than before treatment, and the total score of WHOQOL-BREF, subjective feeling of health condition, physiology and psychology in the combined group were higher than those of the fumigation group and the warm acupuncture group(P<0.05). The joint effusion area and synovium thickness in the 3 groups were significantly reduced and thinned compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the combined group was lower than the fumigating and warm acupuncture groups(P<0.05). Conclusion:Warm acupuncture on 4 points of knee combined with Xiaozhong Lishui Formula has obvious curative effects on traumatic synovitis of the knee joint and has high application value.
