Cancer pain is one of the main self-conscious symptoms of patients with malignant tumors, causing a heavy physical and psychological burden to patients. At present, the WHO three-step treatment guide for cancer pain(hereinafter referred to as the three-step guide)is the main international guide, but it has addiction, easy to tolerate and other adverse reactions. As a non-drug green therapy, acupuncture has a rapid analgesic effect, will not produce dependence, addiction, but can against cancer and improve the immune function of the body, and even has a therapeutic effect on withdrawal syndrome. This paper mainly studies the analgesic effect of acupuncture on cancer pain, and puts forward developmental suggestions for the existing problems in the treatment of cancer pain. It aims to provide gist and ideas for the future clinical research of acupuncture treatment in cancer pain and also make a new advance in the treatment of cancer pain.
