To analyze the effects of Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction on the number of EPCs, NO and VAGF in peripheral blood of patients with phlegm-turbidity obstructing middle-jiao type essential hypertension. Methods:A total of 86 phlegm-turbidity obstructing middle-jiao type essential hypertension patients admitted to Hainan General Hospital from January 2017 to May 2018 were selected, and were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. Patients in both groups were given routine hypertension treatment and exercise, daily life, and exercise guidance. The observation group was given Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction in addition. The changes in blood pressure, number of peripheral blood EPCs, proliferating cells, migrating cells, and changes in peripheral blood EPCs secreting VEGF and NOF were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical efficacy of the two groups were evaluated and the total effective rate, adverse drug reactions/toxic side effects of the two groups of patients were compared. Results:After treatment, the total clinical effective rate of blood pressure control, the number of EPCs, proliferating cells, migrating cells, NO, VEGF, MDA, and SOD in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), while the SBP, DBP and the adverse drug reaction rates were lower in the observation group than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:In treating patients with phlegm-turbidity obstructing middle-jiao type essential hypertension, Banxia Baizhu Tianma decoction can effectively increase the number EPCs, enhance the ability to secrete VEGF and NO, promote the patient's vascular endothelial function, improve the efficacy of blood pressure control, and does not increase the toxic side effects of drugs, and has high clinical value.
