To explore another dialectical treatment thinking of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)treatment of goiter and tumor in clinical practice.Methods:We seriously study the literature on the cause and pathogenesis of the goiter and tumor and the experience of doctors in the past generations,and combine the basic TCM theory with the clinical practice experience to systematically analyze them.Results:The syndrome of goiter and tumor is divided into excessive and deficient kinds.In clinics,it is mostly excessive syndromes.Its pathogenesis can be summarized as phlegm turbidity,blood stasis and qi stagnation.TCM treatment can start from the aspect of dissipating dampness,supplemented by activating blood circulation and qi flowing.Those who also have deficient symptom should be treated by supplementing deficiency and regulating qi flow.Conclusion:The method of dissipating dampness has a good guiding role in the clinical treatment of goiter and tumor.
