To explore the possible mechanism of Astragalus membranaceus-Atractylodes macrocephala in the treatment of functional constipation(FC)by network pharmacology. Methods:The effective components and FC targets of Astragalus membranaceus and Atractylodes macrocephala drug pair were searched and screened by using network database.By using STRING database to construct protein interaction network(PPI)of Astragalus membranaceus-Atractylodes macrocephala drug pair for constipation treatment, the core targets were topologically analyzed. Finally, bioprocess and pathway enrichment analysis of drug-disease public targets was made through Metascape database. Results:A total of 27 FC-related active ingredients and 497 potential targets were screened out from the Astragalus-Atractylodes macrocephala drug pair.By topological analysis,16 core targets were obtained.A total of 20 enrichment results were obtained by enrichment analysis.Among them,GO(gene ontology,GO)biological process cells had the largest number of targets enriched in cellular response to hormone stimulus(cellular response to hormone stimulus).Conclusion:Astragalus-Atractylodes macrocephala drug pair is multi-component,multi-target and multi-channel in the treatment of FC,and its mechanism may be mainly realized through the regulation of cell response to hormone stimulation. It also suggests that this pathway is an important direction for future research on the mechanism of Astragalus-Atractylodes Macrocephala drug in the treatment of FC.
