To analyze the acupoint selection regularity and characteristics in modern research literature of acupuncture for allergic rhinitis through data mining.Methods:Clinical research literature on acupuncture for allergic rhinitis from Chinese and English databases including CNKI，Wanfang，VIP，pubmed and Embase from January 1，2010 to March 1，2020 were searched.All the papers met the inclusion and exclusion criteria of this study，and the prescription database of acupuncture for allergic rhinitis was established.Data mining technology was used to analyze the application and characteristics of meridians and acupoints of acupuncture in the treatment of allergic rhinitis.Results:1)A total of 218 papers were included，230 prescriptions were obtained，78 acupoints were involved，and the acupoints were used for a total of 1 472 times.2)The urinary bladder meridian of Foot-Taiyang was the most frequently used among the meridians and collaterals，accounting for 30.98%，Feishu(BL 13)was the most frequently used among the acupoints，accounting for 9.58%.3)Yingxiang-Hegu-Yintang(LI 20-LI 4-EX-HN 3)had the highest confidence，accounting for 95.24%，in the correlation analysis table of acupoint compatibility of acupuncture in the treatment of allergic rhinitis.Conclusion:Clinical acupuncture therapy for allergic rhinitis should attach importance to local acupoint selection，emphasize the use of yang meridian，combine distant acupoint selection along meridian with nearby point selection to achieve synergistic effect.
