Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is a common gynecological endocrine disease characterized by abnormal reproductive function and glucose metabolism.In addition，50%～70% of PCOS patients are accompanied by insulin resistance,which is also an important factor leading to menstrual abnormalities，ovulation disorders，infertility and endometrial lesions.Insulin resistance in the target organs of hypothalamus pituitary ovary uterus is involved in the formation of PCOS pathological constitution.Although Western medicine has a certain effect on the treatment of the disease in the short term，there are many sequelae and high recurrence rate.Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the formation of PCOS insulin resistance is closely related to the pathological factors of phlegm dampness and stasis.Cangfu Daotan Decoction，a representative prescription of resolving phlegm and removing dampness,has a definite therapeutic effect on insulin resistance of PCOS with low side effects.In this paper,the mechanism of Cangfu Daotan Decoction in the treatment of PCOS insulin resistance was described and analyzed，in order to provide a theoretical basis for the application of Cangfu Daotan Decoction in the treatment of PCOS insulin resistance.
