To study the effects of low-concentration water extract of ginseng(LWEG) on the proliferation, migration and invasion capacity of lung cancer A549 cells,in order to fully understand the effects of ginseng on A549 cells. Methods:The cells were divided into blank control group and WEG groups(1.25,2.5,5,10,20,40,80,160 mg/mL).The effect of different concentrations of WEG on the proliferation of A549 cells was detected using MTT assay to screen out the concentration range of LWEG.Wound healing assay and Transwell migration assay were conducted to test the effects of LWEG(2.5,5,10 mg/mL) on migration and invasion capacity of A549 cells, respectively, and the potential mechanism was explored by network pharmacology. Results:Compared with the conditions in the blank control group, the proliferation, migration and invasion capacity of A549 cells in the LWEG group were increased(P<0.05),and the mechanism may be associated with the ErbB signaling pathway, metabolism and stress response based on network pharmacology. Conclusion:The study indicated that LWEG improved the proliferation, migration and invasion capacity of A549 cells in a direct way.
