This study aims to explore the influence of traditional Chinese medicine directed penetration therapy instrument on pain and quality of life of cancer pain patients. Methods:A total of 120 patients with cancer pain who were treated in Department of Oncology,Liuzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital From January 2018 to December 2019 were enrolled. They were divided into two groups(control group and observation group,60 cases in each) with the random number table method.Patients in the control group were treated with three-step analgesic ladder, and those in the observation group with traditional Chinese medicine directed penetration therapy. The following indexes were observed:pain grade after treatment, pain score(Visual Analog Scale,VAS) 1 day,7 days, and 14 days after treatment, onset time of analgesia, duration of pain relief, frequency of breakthrough cancer pain and eastern cooperative oncology group(ECOG) before and after treatment, and adverse reactions. Results:Before treatment, the pain grade, frequency of breakthrough cancer pain, and ECOG score were insignificantly different between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the pain grade, frequency of breakthrough cancer pain, and ECOG score were improved in both groups, particularly the observation group which showed significant difference from the control group(P<0.05).No significant difference was observed in VAS score between the observation group and control group on day 1 after treatment, but the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group on day 7 and 14 after treatment(P<0.05).The onset time of analgesia and the duration of pain relief in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).Constipation and nausea respectively occurred to 1 case in the control group, and drowsiness and constipation respectively happened to 1 case in the observation group(P>0.05).Conclusion:The directed drug penetration therapy of traditional Chinese medicine can relieve the cancer pain of patients and improve their quality of life.
