To systematically summarize the clinical practice guidelines of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in obstetrics and gynecology issued in the last five years, and evaluate the methodological and reporting qualities, to provide reference for the clinical practice of TCM in obstetrics and gynecology. Methods:CNKI, CSPD, CCD, SinoMed and PubMed were searched for guidelines for obstetrics and gynecology that included TCM recommendations from January 1, 2017 to August 31, 2021. Two researcher fellows independently extracted the basic information of the guidelines, and AGREE Ⅱ and RIGHT checklist were used to evaluate the quality of the included guidelines. Results:A total of 25 guidelines were selected, covering 20 obstetric and gynecological diseases and involving the TCM prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Seven TCM prescriptions and 12 Chinese patent medicines were recommended in the guidelines for the treatment of three or more obstetric and gynecological diseases. The AGREE Ⅱ scoring results showed that the clarity of presentation of the included guidelines was the highest(65%) while the applicability was the lowest(14%). The evaluation results of the RIGHT checklist revealed that the average complete reporting rate of each item was 38%; the complete reporting rate of basic information in seven areas was the highest(55%); the non-reporting rate of review and quality assurance was the highest(92%). Conclusion:The quality of the included guidelines is generally low, and the reporting rate of the guidelines according to the RIGHT checklist is also low. The recommendations of the guidelines mostly focus on “the same disease with different treatments”. However, the rule of “different diseases with the same treatment” can be further explored to promote the application and clinical practice of the guidelines.
