Abstract:To study the fingerprints of aqueous decoction of different Polygonatum cyrtonema processed products and the contribution of small molecular carbohydrates to the yin-nourishing effect, and to establish a quality control model based on the correlation between the chemical components of aqueous decoction of P.cyrtonema processed products and its efficacy. Methods:Grey relational analysis was used to study the HPLC fingerprints of aqueous decoction of different P.cyrtonema processed products and the correlation between common peak areas of small molecule carbohydrates and cyclic nucleotide ratio, corticosterone, creatinine. The spectrum-effect relationship of the yin-nourishing effect of aqueous decoction of different processed products was established. Results:Different P.cyrtonema processed products had significant improvement effects on hydrocortisone-induced kidney yin deficiency in rats, which was consistent with the traditional yin-nourishing effect of P.cyrtonema.In the HPLC fingerprints of aqueous decoction of different P.cyrtonema processed products, the chemical components represented by peaks 16,1,36(fructose),22(polygonatine A),and 14,31,37(glucose) were closely related to nourishing yin, with large contribution, especially peaks 36 and 22.With the increase in the number of steaming and drying, the peak area in the spectrum and the correlation degree increased, which could be considered as indicators to determine the content of P.cyrtonema and further improve the quality standard of P.cyrtonema decoction pieces. Conclusion:There was a corresponding relationship between the aqueous decoction of different P.cyrtonema processed products and its yin-nourishing effect. The HPLC fingerprint of the aqueous decoction could reflect the quality characteristics of P.cyrtonema decoction pieces to a certain extent, and polygonatine A,fructose, glucose were closely correlated with the yin-nourishing effect.
