Abstract:To investigate the effect of Jiawei Wenjing Decoction combined with warming needle moxibustion on the immune function and pain mediators of patients with primary dysmenorrhea of cold congeal and blood stasis type. Methods:A total of 108 patients with primary dysmenorrhea of cold congeal and blood stasis type who were treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University from April 2017 to May 2020 were selected. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table,54 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with Fenbid orally, those in the observation group received modified Wenjing Decoction combined with warming needle moxibustion. The curative effect was compared after three menstrual cycles. Results:After treatment, the levels of serum prostaglandin E2(PGE2),5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),and thromboxane B2(TXB2) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, whereas the content of β-endorphin(β-EP) was higher(P<0.05).In addition, the observation group had decreased serum CD8+ and increased CD4+/CD8+ and CD4+ levels, shortened duration of pain and reduced total symptom score of traditional Chinese medicine(main symptoms of lower abdomen pain, chills, and cold limbs; minor symptoms of menstrual flow and loose stools)(all P<0.05) compared with the conditions in the control group. Moreover, the total effectiveness(96.30%,52/54) of the observation group was higher than 74.07%,40/54 of the control group(P<0.05),and the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 1.85%(1/54),lower than 16.67%(9/54) in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with primary dysmenorrhea of cold congeal and blood stasis type, the use of Jiawei Wenjing Decoction combined with warming needle moxibustion had a significant effect, which helped inhibit the secretion of pain mediators, improve immunity, and enhance clinical efficacy.
