Abstract:To explore the medication characteristics and prescription basis of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the treatment of cough variant asthma(CVA) based on multi-level data mining.Methods:Literature on the treatment of CVA with TCM from 2008 to 2018 was searched in CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP and CBMdisc,and a prescription database was established for frequency analysis,association rule analysis,cluster analysis and principal component analysis.Results:A total of 398 effective prescriptions for CVA were included,involving 235 Chinese medicinal materials,and the high-frequency materials were Herba Ephedrae,Semen Armeniacae Amarae,Radix Glycyrrhizae,Periostracum Cicadae,Lumbricus,Bombyx Batryticatus,Radix Asteris,and Radix Stemonae.The association rule analysis revealed two itemsets of 15 including 14 drug combinations,three itemsets of 52 including 16 drug combinations,and four itemsets of 10 including 5 drug combinations.By cluster analysis,13 prescription combinations were obtained,and the factor analysis yielded 16 common factors.Conclusion:TCM treatment of CVA focused on dispelling wind,releasing exterior,extinguishing wind,stopping convulsions,expelling phlegm,and reliving dyspnea,combined with tonifying deficiency,removing dampness,resolving stasis,and dredging collaterals.Combination of medicinal materials attached importance to cold-warm combination,ventilation-decent dependence,regulating lung function,and restoring the ventilation and decent of lung qi.
