Abstract:To observe the clinical efficacy of Nie Jinmaiwei massage in preventing nausea and vomiting caused by cisplatin-included chemotherapy regimens. Methods:A total of 65 cases who received cisplatin-included chemotherapy regimens in Guang'anmen Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from April 2019 to January 2020 were selected as research subjects. They were divided into observation group(n=34) and control group(n=31) according to the order of admission. In addition to intravenously administered ondansetron in both groups, the observation group was given Nie Jinmaiwei massage and the control group received sham massage treatment. The chemotherapy-induced vomiting control rate(CIV-CR),chemotherapy-induced nausea control rate(CIN-CR),complete control rate(CCR),severity of nausea, number of vomiting and quality of life(QoL) in acute and delayed phases were compared between the two groups. Results:Compared with the control group, the observation group had 27.8% increase in delayed CIV-CR(P=0.018),and 27.4% in delayed CIN-CR(P=0.022),and the number of vomiting and the severity of nausea were less in the observation group than those in the control group(1.1 vs.5.0,P=0.013; 2.2 vs.3.9,P=0.016,respectively) in delayed phase. However, there were no differences in CIV-CR(P=0.413),CIN-CR(P=0.804),CCR(P=0.152),number of vomiting(P=0.308) and severity of nausea(P=0.514) in acute phase.Furthermore,Nie Jinmaiwei massage improved QoL(90.7 vs.83.5,P=0.003),especially in terms of functional well-being(24.1 vs.21.9,P=0.023).Conclusion:Nie Jinmaiwei massage combined with ondansetron for chemotherapy-included nausea and vomiting could improve CIN-CR,CIV-CR and QoL,and decrease the number of vomiting and the severity of nausea in delayed phase..
