Lignosus rhinocerus (Cooke) Ryv is an edible and medicinal fungus with both fruiting body and sclerotia,which is mainly distributed in tropical areas such as Malaysia,but rarely cultivated in China.At present,the in-depth research on the active physiological substances and pharmacological effects of L.rhinocerus has been carried out with great progress achieved,but the artificial culture technology of L.rhinocerus is still lagging behind,and the production scale is far from reaching the social demand.To promote the development and utilization of L.rhinoceros,this study reviewed the research progress in the cultivation,nutrients,active compounds,pharmacological action,and genomics of L.rhinocerus,discussed the main problems in current research,and predicted the application prospect.
